The system will be installed by MCS qualified professionals.
All installations are subject to a full survey, electrical, structural and a health and safety audit.
Then the system will be installed by MCS qualified professionals. It takes approximately a week to install a large system; a smaller installation typically only takes two days to put in place.
The PV on the roof feeds straight into an inverter; the power from the roof is DC and the inverter converts the power to AC (alternating current is the form in which electric power is delivered to businesses and residences). Isolation switches are installed, any cables are buried in the ground where necessary in armoured installation where necessary and connect the power to the meter.
The premises where the installation takes place does not have to be emptied, the work is obviously on the outside, the only access needed on the inside is to connect the inverter to the meter. This allows for business as normal. Once the power is connected to the meter then the installation has to be commissioned by the electricity provider who owns the meter.
The team will check the installation, complete the paperwork and then the installation is connected to the grid and then the Feed-In-Tariff kicks in.
